OFFICE & FINANCE SUB COMMITTEE
The Office & Finance Sub Committee consists of the Officers of the Federation. It considers and makes recommendations on all financial matters concerning the Federation. It recommends the rate of payment to all who legitimately incur expenses on behalf of the Federation. It prepares a budget at the beginning of the year, yearly and half-yearly financial statements and deals with all matters concerning the Federation Office and staff.

ACTIVITES & SOCIAL SUB COMMITTEE
This combined Committee plans events to provide members with sporting and leisure activities at both local and inter-Federation level. They are responsible for all aspects of home economics, cookery, handicrafts, horticulture and flower arranging. It organises day workshops, conferences, demonstrations and exhibitions.

PUBLIC AFFAIRS & INTERNATIONAL SUB COMMITTEE
The Public Affairs and International Sub Committee aims to keep WIs informed on all matters connected with the environment, health, education, national and international affairs. It arranges events, conferences and special interest days on these and all subjects of particular interest to women and concern to all.

The Membership Sub Committee is responsible for arranging workshops and conferences on the work of the WI. Formation of new WIs and is also concerned with the training of WI Advisers in co-operation with the National Federation.

WI ADVISERS
The WI Advisers try to keep in close contact with WIs throughout the Federation and are readily available to help with any problems. Each WI may apply for a WI Adviser to visit on the application form supplied by the Federation. They would welcome invitations to speak at WIs. WI Advisers are there to give help and support when starting new WIs and closing existing ones.
The role of a WI Adviser is to give support and advice to WIs when needed. They help in the training of WI Officers and committee members and help to promote the WI. To become a WI Adviser a member is recommended by the Federation for training through NFWI at Denman.

INDEPENDENT FINANCIAL EXAMINERS
Our Federation has 6 Independent Financial Examiners (IFEs) please see below, who have been fully trained to be able to audit your WIs annual accounts and are situated around the County. Please download the Application Form from our ‘Downloads’ page
on our website www.southyorksfedwi.org.uk or contact the office. An IFE will be allocated to you providing a full report to present at your Annual Meeting.
A charge of £25 will be made (for 4 hours time) payable to the Examiner. If your accounts take longer than this to audit there will be an additional charge of £5 per hour provided everything is presented in an orderly fashion, and all paperwork is enclosed (as stated in your allocation confirmation letter) and the accounts balance.
Please apply at least 6 weeks prior to your Annual Meeting.
